How to bulk create cards from Miro, Mural or FigJam
If you've mapped out a journey in Miro, Mural, or FigJam and want to bring that work into TheyDo, you can copy your sticky notes or text and paste them directly into a journey — creating multiple cards in one go.
Before you start
- Make sure clipboard permissions are enabled in your browser. You can usually find this under Privacy and Security in your browser settings.
- This feature currently works for Insights, Opportunities, and Solutions lanes.
Step 1: Copy content from Miro, Mural, or FigJam
- Open your board in Miro, Mural, or FigJam.
- Select the stickies or text items you want to bring into TheyDo.
- Copy the selected content using the platform's copy function (or Cmd+C / Ctrl+C).
Step 2: Paste into TheyDo
- Open the journey where you want to add the cards.
- Decide whether you want to paste across steps or into a specific step:
To paste across steps in a lane:
- Hover over the header column of the lane on the left (e.g., Insights).
- Press Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows).
- TheyDo will spread the cards across the journey steps from left to right.
- If there are more cards than steps, the overflow will land in the last step.
To paste into a specific step:
- Hover over the cell where you want to place the content.
- Press Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows).
- All cards will be created inside that step.
Each line break in your copied content creates a new card.
Tips
- Use TheyDo's official Miro and Figma templates to get started with the right structure:
- After pasting, you can edit each card individually to add more detail.
