Condens integration
Overview
This article is for UX and CX teams who run research in Condens and map customer journeys in TheyDo. It explains what the Condens integration brings into TheyDo, how to connect the two tools, and how to push a Condens Artifact into TheyDo as an Insight.
Note: Condens is in private beta - ask your CSM to get started.
How Condens and TheyDo work together
Condens is a research repository. Teams use it to store interview recordings, transcripts, and highlights, then synthesize that raw data into Artifacts: Reports, Findings, Personas, Affinity Maps, Empathy Maps, and User Journey Maps.
TheyDo is where that research connects to the customer journey. In TheyDo, an Insight is a structured building block (a Pain, Gain, Need, or Observation) that gets linked to journey steps and rolled up into Opportunities.
Without a connection between the two, research synthesized in Condens stays disconnected from the journey. It's hard to link to a specific step in the customer experience, and easy to lose track of once a project wraps.
What the integration brings
The integration brings Condens Artifacts into TheyDo as Insights.
- Quotes, findings, and themes already synthesized in Condens become reusable Insights in TheyDo's Insights library, with no re-typing or copy-pasting.
- Each Insight can be tagged and linked to the journey step it relates to, so research evidence sits directly alongside the experience it describes.
- Insights can be linked to Opportunities and other building blocks, so decisions in TheyDo stay traceable back to the original research.
Note: Bringing an Artifact over is a deliberate, one-by-one action, not an automatic bulk sync. You (or your team) choose which Artifacts to push from Condens, and when.
Who it's for
UX and CX teams that use Condens for research analysis and TheyDo for customer journey mapping, and want research-backed evidence behind their journeys instead of insights stuck in reports.
Part 1: Connect Condens to TheyDo
Someone with integration access on both sides needs to set this connection up once. After that, anyone on the team can push Artifacts over.
- In TheyDo, go to
Settings > Integrationsand selectCondens. - Assign an integration owner.
- Select the destination TheyDo workspace.
- Click
Create credentials. - In Condens, go to
Settings > Integrationsand findTheyDo. - Enable the TheyDo integration.
- Copy each credential TheyDo generated into the matching field in Condens, in the order they're listed.
- Double check that every credential landed in the correct field.
- Click
Save.

Part 2: Push an Artifact from Condens into TheyDo
Once the connection is set up, anyone on the team can push Artifacts over. No TheyDo setup needed on their end.
- In Condens, open
Artifacts. - Select the Artifact you want to bring into TheyDo.
- Open the three-dot menu on the Artifact and choose
Push to TheyDo. - In TheyDo, open the connected workspace's
Insightslist. - Confirm the Artifact appears there as a new Insight.
- Add an owner, add tags, link it to the relevant journey or other building blocks, and share it with your team as needed
Good to know
- This is a manual, repeatable action, not a live sync. Push an Artifact again whenever it's updated in Condens. Previously pushed Artifacts won't auto-update if the source changes later in Condens.
- Once it's in TheyDo, it behaves like any other Insight. Add an owner, tag it, link it to a journey step or other building blocks, and share it with your team.
- The Condens share link is worth preserving wherever it lands in TheyDo (for example, as an external link). It's the easiest way to trace an Insight back to the full context in Condens.
