How to use embeds

Embeds let you bring rich content from other apps directly into TheyDo — from virtual whiteboards and slide decks to task boards, video recordings, and more.

This is available to all TheyDo users, including those on the free Mapping plan.

Overview

Any time you have a public link from a supported tool, you can paste it into a TheyDo description field and it will render as an interactive embed. You can zoom, scroll, and click through to the original source — and when you update the content in the source tool, it updates in TheyDo automatically.

TheyDo supports embeds from over 1,900 sources.

How to add an embed

  1. Copy the link from the tool you want to embed (make sure the link is set to public).
  2. In TheyDo, open a journey, building block, or any item with a description field.
  3. Paste the link directly into the description field.
  4. TheyDo will automatically render the embed inline.

What you can do with embeds

  • Zoom in and out to explore the content
  • Drag to scroll around larger boards or documents
  • Click to open the original source in a new tab
  • Embeds update automatically when you change the source content

Tips

  • If an embed doesn't render, check that the link is set to public in the source tool.
  • Some tools (like Figma or Notion) have specific sharing settings — make sure you're sharing the right type of link.
  • Embeds work in description fields across journeys, insights, opportunities, solutions, and more.
