What is the Data Hub?

Overview

Data Hub is TheyDo's central place for managing all the customer evidence that powers Journey AI. Think interviews, survey exports, support logs, and feedback data — all in one place, organized and ready to use across your workspace.

Why it matters

Without a place to store and organize your research, AI workflows have nothing to draw from. Data Hub solves that by giving your workspace a single, searchable repository of sources. Journey AI uses those sources to mine insights, generate journeys, and answer questions about your customers.

How it works in TheyDo

Data Hub lives in the main left sidebar inside every workspace. It has three main areas:

  • Library – Browse, filter, upload, and manage all your sources. This is where you'll spend most of your time.
  • Sources – Where connected integrations (like Qualtrics, Medallia, or Gong) feed data into your workspace automatically.
  • Insight mining – Where you kick off AI jobs to extract draft insights from your sources and map them onto journeys.

The chain works like this: Sources → Quotes → Insights → Journey. When you upload a source, Journey AI extracts quotes from it. Those quotes can then be mined into insights, which land on your journey map at the right steps and lanes.

Sources in Data Hub are workspace-scoped — they won't appear in other workspaces in your organization.

When to use it

Use Data Hub when you want to:

  • Bring customer research into TheyDo so Journey AI can work with it
  • Organize and manage your team's sources across a workspace
  • Run insight mining to populate or enrich a journey with AI-generated insights
  • Generate a new journey directly from your research

Before you start

Data Hub is visible to all workspace members. To upload files, run insight mining, or create journeys from sources, AI must be enabled for both your organization and your workspace. Check with your admin if you're not sure — if the Upload button isn't visible, that's usually why.
