How to use pulse?

Overview

This guide walks you through using Pulse to review journey data, customize your dashboard, and share progress with your team or stakeholders. Pulse is a journey-level view that brings together insights, opportunities, and solutions in one place.

Pulse is currently in public beta.

Steps

1. Open the Pulse view

Go to the journey you want to review and select the Pulse tab next to the Journey tab. The dashboard will automatically load with your latest insights, opportunities, and solutions.

2. Customize your Pulse view

Select Configure in the top right to control what's shown in your dashboard. You can hide sections that aren't relevant to your workflow — for example, AI insights or experience impact — and focus only on what matters for your team.

3. Explore your insights

Start by reviewing your top insights, ranked by AI score or experience impact. Select any insight to open its details and see how it's evolving over time. You can also filter the view to focus on specific insight types — for example, Pains, Gains, or Needs.

4. Filter by focus area

If you're responsible for a specific area (like payments or onboarding), use filters to see only the insights and opportunities relevant to your domain. Combine filters with the Configure option to tailor the view to your team's responsibilities.

5. Analyze the journey

Check which journey steps generate the most insights to identify where customers are struggling or thriving. This helps you spot trends and prioritize where to take action.

6. Review opportunities and solutions

Look at the top opportunities by value to see what's planned or in progress. Explore the top solutions to track what teams are delivering and where they'll have impact. Use the sort controls on tables (ascending or descending) to quickly prioritize what to focus on.

7. Save your custom view

After applying filters and configuring your dashboard, save your Pulse view. This lets you return to a setup tailored to your workflow — for example, a weekly opportunity review or a team-specific dashboard — without reapplying settings each time.

8. Share and reflect

Use Pulse to tell the story behind your journey work. Share what's changing, what's being solved, and how customer experiences are improving. It's designed to communicate impact, not just track data.

Tips

  • Start broad and narrow down. Begin with the full Pulse view, then use filters and Configure to focus on what matters most.
  • Tailor Pulse to your team rituals. For example, create a view specifically for weekly opportunity or solution reviews.
  • Save custom views to avoid reapplying filters each time you open Pulse.
  • Check Pulse regularly to spot changes early and share progress with confidence.
  • Pulse is in public beta — share your feedback directly in the tool to help shape where it goes next.
