How to archive an insight
Overview
Archiving an insight removes it from your active workspace views without deleting it. Use this when an insight is no longer relevant to current work but may be worth keeping for future reference.
Before you start
- Archiving applies to the insight itself, not to a single card placement. Archiving an insight removes it from all journeys and libraries across the workspace.
- Archived insights are read-only. You can still open them for reference, but editing is disabled.
- Quotes linked to an insight are not automatically archived when the insight is archived.
How to archive an insight
From the Insights Library
- Go to the Insights Library.
- Select the checkbox next to the insight(s) you want to archive.
- A black action bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Archive.
From the insight card
- Open the journey or library where the insight appears.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the insight card.
- Select Archive everywhere.
How to find archived insights
Archived insights are hidden by default. To show them:
- Go to the Insights Library.
- Open the filter options.
- Choose one of the following:
- Include archived — shows active and archived insights together
- Archived only — shows only archived insights
How to unarchive an insight
From the Insights Library
- Go to the Insights Library and apply the Archived only or Include archived filter.
- Select the checkbox next to the insight(s) you want to unarchive.
- A black action bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Unarchive.
From the insight card
- Find the archived insight using the filter options above.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the insight card.
- Select Unarchive everywhere.
Tips
- If you're unsure whether to archive or delete, archive first. You can always delete later, but you can't undo a deletion.
- Use Archived only to do a periodic review of past insights and decide if any are worth restoring.
- Quotes linked to the insight are not affected by archiving, so review those separately if needed.
