A brand new metrics experience: dimensions and metric cards

Your metrics library just got a major upgrade — and if you've opened it recently, you may have already noticed.

Here's what changed:

Metric sources and metric cards

Your existing metrics are now metric sources — the foundation from which you create metric cards. A metric card is a specific view of that source, defined by the dimensions that matter to you: channel, country, time range, interval, and more.

This means your mobile team can look at monthly data while your web team looks at quarterly — from the same source, without duplicating metrics.

How it works in the library

Open any metric source to define a new card. Set your dimensions, pick your time range, name it, and save it for everyone. It'll be listed right there in the library, ready to use.

How it works in journeys

You no longer add metrics from within the journey editor. Instead, drag a metric card from the library and drop it directly into — or on top of — a journey. That's it.

Need to create a new metric while you're in a journey? Use Create metric source to jump back to the library without losing your place.

We hope this makes your business performance reviews clearer and faster. Let us know what you think!
