Streamlined filters

This guide explains how to use streamlined filters in the Journey tab. You’ll learn how to view active filters at a glance, edit them inline, and quickly adjust your view while reviewing a journey.

Streamlined filters help you stay oriented, move faster, and understand exactly what you’re looking at without reopening filter menus.

Why this matters

  • See all active filters instantly

  • Edit filters without losing context

  • Keep your focus while reviewing journeys

How streamlined filters work

Open the filter bar

  1. Open any Journey

  2. Click the Filters button above the canvas

What happens next depends on whether filters are already applied:

  • If no filters are applied, the button opens the filter popover so you can add your first filter

  • If filters are applied, the filter bar is visible above the canvas and can be expanded or collapsed

When the filter bar is collapsed, you’ll still see a counter showing how many filters are active.

Add your first filter

  1. Click the Filters button

  2. Select a filter and apply it

Once your first filter is added:

  • The filter bar stays visible while filters are active

  • From now on, new filters are added using the filter bar button

Edit filters inline using filter chips

Each active filter appears as a filter chip in the filter bar.

You can edit filters directly from the chip:

  • Click the value to change selections

  • Click the operator to switch logic, including NOT and NONE OF

  • Changes are applied inline without reopening the filter popover

Notes:

  • Filter names cannot be changed

  • Existing selections are not shown in the popover, editing happens inline on the chip

Work with aggregated filters

Some filters group multiple values together.

For example:

  • A tag filter may display “4 tags” instead of individual badges

  • Click the chip to view or edit the values inline

Save your filters as a view

If you want to reuse your filtered setup, you can save it as a custom view.

  1. Apply your filters

  2. Click Save for everyone

  3. A new view is created without changing the default Journey view

You can rename, share, or delete the view at any time.

For more details, see Custom views.
