How to share and export Journeys

This guide explains how to share your Journey with others and export it as a high-resolution PDF, all from one place. Whether you want to collaborate with teammates, share a Journey publicly, or download it for presentations or printing, everything happens in the Share modal.

Why this matters

  • Keep sharing and exporting in one clear flow

  • Control who can view what inside your Journey

  • Create polished PDFs for stakeholders or offline use

Open the Share & Export modal

  1. Open the Journey you want to share or export.

  2. Click the Share button (black button) in the top right corner of the Journey page.

  3. The Share modal opens, with two tabs:

    • Share

    • Export

Share your Journey

Share with team members in TheyDo

Use this option to share the Journey with people who already have access to your workspace.

  • Copy the internal link to share with teammates

  • Only members of your workspace can access this link

Use public sharing when you want to share a Journey with external stakeholders.

  1. Toggle Anyone with the link can view.

  2. Copy the public link.

  3. Share the link with anyone, no login required.

Control what viewers can open

Choose which building blocks viewers can open in detail:

  • Personas

  • Insights

  • Opportunities

  • Solutions

Unchecked building blocks will still appear in the Journey, but viewers won’t be able to expand them.

Add password protection (optional)

For extra security:

  1. Toggle Enable password protection.

  2. Set a password.

  3. Save your changes.

Only people with the password will be able to view the Journey via the public link.

Export your Journey

Go to the Export tab in the same modal to download your Journey as a high-resolution PDF.

Export options

Before exporting, choose how much information to include:

  • Use current view
    Exports the Journey exactly as it appears on your screen, including applied filters.

  • Include persona basics
    Adds persona information to the PDF.

  • Include journey information
    Includes Journey details such as description, type, legend, owner, and branding (logos and colors).

Once selected, export the Journey to generate a high-resolution PDF suitable for sharing or printing.

Tips

  • Apply filters before exporting if you want a focused PDF

  • Use password protection when sharing with external stakeholders

  • Public links can be turned off at any time to restrict access
