Library Export

Export your TheyDo data as a CSV file to share, analyze, or reuse outside the platform.

Library Export lets you download structured data from any library in TheyDo. The export includes core metadata fields such as ID, title, description, status, timestamps, tags, and selected relation counts, depending on the entity. The result is a clean CSV file that works seamlessly in Excel, Google Sheets, and most reporting tools.

This is a manual, on-demand export.

Typical use cases

  • Sharing journey or opportunity data with stakeholders who don’t use TheyDo

  • Running ad-hoc analysis in Excel or Google Sheets

  • Feeding data into reporting workflows

  • Auditing or reviewing library content outside the platform

  • Retrieving your work when offboarding

What you can export

Each entity in TheyDo has its own library. You can export them separately:

  • Journeys

  • Personas

  • Metrics

  • Insights

  • Opportunities

  • Solutions

  • Goals

Each export contains the entity’s metadata and selected related information, depending on your export options.

How to export a library

The process is the same for every library.

  1. Go to the relevant library from the left-side menu (for example, Journeys under Building Blocks).

  2. In the top-right corner, next to the + [building block] button, click the Download icon.

  3. In the pop-up window, review the export options.

  4. Adjust the options if needed.

  5. Download your CSV file.

Your file will open directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or most data tools.

Export options may differ slightly depending on the library, but the export flow remains the same.

Good to know

  • Exports include up to 50,000 rows.

  • If your library exceeds 50,000 rows, you’ll see a warning and the first 50,000 rows will be exported.

  • If you exclude a relation, the CSV still keeps the same columns, but with blank values, so existing scripts and workflows continue to work.

  • If you apply filters in the library view, the export respects those filters.

Note: You need edit permissions for the relevant entity to export a library.
