Solutions overview

In this article:

What is a Solution?

A Solution is an idea or concept for a new or existing feature, product, or service that addresses one or more of the key problems you identified as Opportunities to improve the customer experience. Practically, the Solution feature can also be used to map existing features, content, processes, experiments, and more to your journeys.

All Solutions are stored in one place, so that they can be used across the organization in other journeys. This makes your ideas for improvement visible to others, so they can be inspired by the Solutions you create (and vice versa) and coordinate Solution development across teams so that it’s not happening in siloes. It also helps you keep an overview of who’s working on what, and how far items have come. Integration with Jira and Azure Devops make it possible to sync this status to your backlog for direct communication with your engineers and product teams.

After you create a Solution, you can link it to any other Journey (even those in different frameworks). This creates an overview of how your products, services, and content are linked within your customer journeys. The more Journeys or Opportunities to which a Solution is linked, the more relevant it is because it will generate more impact.

How to create a Solution in TheyDo

You can create Solutions in two ways:

  • Add Solutions directly to Journeys: go to any Journey and create a Solution lane. From there, click in the Solution lane under any step to add a Solution to that step.

  • Add Solutions within the Solutions Library: Within the Solutions Library, click on ‘create new’ to create a new Solution. You can add any Solution to any Journey.

The Solution card

When creating a new Solution or editing an existing one, a Solution card will open up in the side panel where you can view or edit the properties.
