Get started with Journey AI
Generate a new journey
Note: Some users must enable Journey AI on their organization's behalf before following the steps below. If we require this step from you, you'll see "Activate Journey AI" in the main dashboard.
Click "Map a Journey with AI" from your dashboard.
Choose to start with a template or from scratch.
You'll be prompted to choose between "Map with AI" and "Map it yourself". Start with research for the full experience. If you don't have any research available, Journey AI will generate just your journey outline (with the "Map it yourself" option)—or you can use our fictional interview transcript to test out the full functionality.
Upload your text-based research in a .txt format, or by simply copy/pasting your text into the "raw transcript" box. Journey AI can analyze text from interviews, support tickets, digital whiteboard tools, workshops and more.
Note: It's easy to copy/paste sticky notes from your favorite digital whiteboard tool—simply drag and select the stickies you want to copy > CMD+C (Mac) or CTRL+C (Windows) to copy > paste them into Journey AI's "raw transcript" box.
Help the AI gain context by choosing the source of your research, the persona involved, and the purpose of the research.
Click to begin generation. Most journeys are ready within 10 minutes. You're free to continue navigating TheyDo and we'll notify you via email when your AI generated journey is ready.
Check out your AI-generated journey! You'll notice the AI has pulled out, categorized and mapped customer insights from your research. Each AI-generated insight will be marked with the Journey AI "diamond" symbol for easy identification. If you have direct quotes, they'll be neatly nested within the insights, with one key quote highlighted on the insight card.
Add to an existing journey
If you'd like to add content to an existing journey, click the black Journey AI button in the top righthand corner of your journey or journey board.
Follow steps 4-6 above.
You'll see your AI-generated insights in the right hand side panel when they're finished generating. Simply multi-select to edit type, status, group or persona before mapping them. You can also choose to select only certain insights or map all insights directly to the journey.
